Canning Town is a district of Newham Borough in East London, England. Historically, it was a deprived area; poor labourers live there. In the past decades, it attracts immigrants from different cultural background to settle there because of its affordable living cost. Now, along with the regeneration project, new people keep moving to the area and making the demographic more diverse.
I have been living in Canning Town for more than four years. My project lead me to rediscover my neighbourhood. I am fascinated by the relationship between the space and the people who dwell here.
